Mohammad and his followers

Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) in one of his journeys with his companions came to a dry, waterless land and said to his companions: Bring firewood to lit up fire. The companions said: O the Messenger of Allah, This is an isolated land and it is hard to find any firewood here. Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said: Everyone, Go and bring the firewood in the amount you can. The companions went and everyone brought whatever he could. They all poured what they brought in front of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). A lot of firewood was accumulated. At that, Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said: The sins are also like these small firewood, at first one cannot see it but when accumulated they form a big mass. And then said: My fellows, abstain from even the tiny sins, although they don't appear important; Everything has its aspirant and seeker. O you the aspirants! Write down whatever you have committed in life and of whatever the effects are left (to be seen) after death and one day you will see that those small sins aggregate to a big amount.


پیامبر گرامی اسلام صلی الله علیه و آله در یکی از مسافرتها همراه جمعی از اصحاب خود در سرزمین خالی و بی آب و علفی فرود آمدند و به یاران خود فرمودند: - هیزم بیاورید تا آتش روشن کنیم. اصحاب عرض کردند: یا رسول الله! اینجا سرزمینی خالی است و هیچ گونه هیزمی در آن وجود ندارد. پیامبر صلی الله علیه و آله فرمود: - بروید هر کس هر مقدار می تواند هیزم جمع کند و بیاورد. یاران به صحرا رفتند و هر کدام هر اندازه که توانستند، ریز و درشت، جمع کردند و با خود آوردند. همه را در مقابل پیغمبر صلی الله علیه و آله روی هم ریختند. مقدار زیادی هیزم جمع شد. در این وقت رسول خدا صلی الله علیه و آله فرمود: - گناهان کوچک هم مانند این هیزمهای کوچک است. اول به چشم نمی آید، ولی وقتی که روی هم جمع می گردند، انبوه عظیمی را تشکیل می دهند. آنگاه فرمود: یاران! از گناهان کوچک نیز بپرهیزید. اگر چه گناهان کوچک چندان مهم به نظر نمی آیند؛ هر چیز طالب و جستجو کننده ای دارد. جستجو کنندگان! آن چه را در دوران زندگی انجام داده اید و هر آن چه بعد از مرگ آثارش باقی مانده است، همه را می نویسد و روزی می بیند که همان گناهان کوچک، انبوه بزرگی را تشکیل داده است.
